Our Meetings

The Friends of the Earth Fife group hold our regular monthly meetings on the last Monday of each month. The meetings start at 7.30pm and finish around 9pm. New members are always welcome!

We are taking a break in December – replacing our usual meeting with a night out.
Date of our next meeting: Monday January 25th 2010.

We currently meet in The Robert Nairn Bar in Kirkcaldy. The Robert Nairn address: 6 Kirk Wynd, Kirkcaldy, Fife, KY1 1EH. If you can’t see us, just ask at the bar and they will point us out. Map and directions to The Robert Nairn.

Kirkcaldy Green Drinks

Kirkcaldy Green Drinks is a informal, social gathering for anyone who is involved in (or just interested in) environmental issues. Green Drinks is an international network of people who meet up monthly to chat, debate or network over a drink.

The organisers hold the Drinks monthly, on the second Saturday of each month. For more details, see the Kirkcaldy Green Drinks webpage or email kirkcaldygreendrinks-owner[@]yahoogroups.co.uk.

Demand Climate Justice Training Days – Now Booking

December 2009 sees one of the most significant meetings in recent
history taking place in Copenhagen. World leaders will gather together
to decide on a global agreement to prevent catastrophic climate
change. Learn more at en.cop15.dk.

You don’t have to go all the way to Copenhagen to make a difference to
climate change. Building on the success of our Big Ask Scotland
campaign, Friends of the Earth Scotland are planning a national day of action for climate justice on the 14th of November. In the weeks leading up to Copenhagen,  activists will be seen carrying out intriguing stunts and chatting to  the public about how they can add their voices to the growing call to  world leaders for environmental justice. To be part of it, come to one  of the regional training days throughout October, or contact us to find out more.

Go to www.foe-scotland.org.uk to book now.

Growing Gathering

Do you grow your own (fruit or veg)? Are you interested in having a go at growing?

Friends of the Earth Fife are hosting a Growing Gathering at 7pm on Friday August 21st in Kirkcaldy, to share some home-grown food, inspiration/information about garden/allotment/window box food growing, and plants/cuttings. It will also be a good way to meet like-minded people, and to meet the Friends of the Earth Fife group and chat about the things we get involved in.

For more details, or if you would like to come along, please see this invitation.
